An Evolving Paper About AI Technologies & the 4th Industrial Revolution
I am equally fascinated and unsettled by the advancement of technology and the distruption that artificial intelligence will have on our lives. I imagine many of you feel similarly. Instead of keeping what I find to myself, I decided to create a working document, an evolving paper if you will, to share what I have read and listened to and to keep track of technologies. I am also working on a separate document to keep track of and highlight adaptive apps for education. In the meantime, if you want to listen to a conversation with a Stanford graduate who is the co-founder of schools already using adaptive apps, I interviewed MacKenzie Price in the fall.
For the record, I’m not an AI “doomer” nor do I believe AI will usher in some utopian fantasy where no one has to work and we all live happily planting gardens, baking bread, and reading books. However, some of what I share may come across as alarmist because some of what is happening is alarming. I’m aware that every new advancement is met with fear and worry, some justified, some not and that we are also woefully terrible at predicting exactly how the new thing or idea will impact society.
